Silver Dress
For my silver dress, I set out to make something that should be worn to accentuate jewelry and bring in the silhouette of the wearer. Seeing as my skin’s undertone is blue, I’ve grown fond of the color silver, which was my deciding factor for the fabric choice. This was another project where I just enjoyed the process, and really felt like I learned because I was motivating myself.
It was interesting sewing this because of the difference in materials. The black fabric was an elastic woven, while the silver was a foil-printed design over a black woven polyester. Still the form and structure came out as intended and I truly felt like I made something pretty.
